Home Educators
Leadership Summit

August 19, 2023

A Special Event

Registration closes Wednesday, August 16, at noon!

If you are serving home educating families through a local co-op or support network – CHEO would like to provide you with a day of encouragement, support, networking, and legal perspectives.

With the many changes taking effect in Ohio home education, this is a timely event to help get your questions answered and provide you and your groups with the most accurate and helpful information.

We will provide a unique opportunity to network with other local leaders in a fun town hall format and you will also have time for discussions with CHEO Leadership regarding Ohio’s new
state policy for home education. Make plans to join us for this encouraging day!

See registration details below.

A Special Thanks to Classical Conversations for sponsoring this wonderful event!

We are also grateful for BJU Press Homeschool for sponsoring Zan and Joe Tyler
as
Key Note speakers for the day!

Our Speakers For The Day

Joe and Zan Tyler are so much fun when they teach together! They bring laughter and offer practical encouragement to home educators.

Joe Tyler is President of Followers in Fellowship, a 501c3 organization committed to advancing Christian education. Joe and Zan homeschooled their three children through high school and he is now the Chairman of the Board for the South Carolina Association of Independent Homeschools (SCAIHS).

Zan Tyler speaks to the heart of Christian parents like few others. Zan’s own homeschool journey began in 1984 when she was threatened with jail and she has spent the past three decades advocating for homeschool freedom! She is an uplifting speaker, author, and the host of the Zan Tyler Podcast, a weekly podcast.

  • 60% advising homeschool group leaders about everything from crafting statements of faith to designing policies to protect children at co-ops
  • 10% writing legal briefs.
  • 10% keeping HSLDA and its sister organizations in compliance with the charitable solicitation laws.
  • 100% advocating for the fundamental right of parents to direct the education of their children.
