Join CHEO for our first ever Homeschooling Special Needs Workshop!  Hear from encouraging speakers, get practical tips, and understand Ohio’s unique scholarship programs.  A variety of workshops will be offered from 9 am – 4 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2026.  Be sure to stop by our vendor tables and talk with our event sponsors!  We look forward to hosting special needs parents, tutors, and therapists for this informative and encouraging day.  You don’t want to miss out!

Keynote Speaker

Colleen Kessler is an award‑winning educator, author, and leading advocate for gifted, twice‑exceptional, and differently‑wired children. She holds a B.S. in elementary education and an M.Ed. in gifted studies and is the founder of Raising Lifelong Learners, Raising Poppies, and The Learner’s Lab, where she supports families through resources on giftedness, creativity, and homeschooling. She has written more than a dozen books for parents, teachers, and kids and is a sought‑after national speaker on neurodiversity and education. Kessler lives in Northeast Ohio with her family.
