Simultaneous to the workshops for parents we are providing important opportunities for teens:

ASVAB Assessment:
Students in grades 10-12 will be able to take the ASVAB assessment. This is a career aptitude assessment administered with a follow up session for test interpretation. It is a fantastic tool to help students understand various occupational tracks best suited for them.  (Pre-Registration is Required)

ACT Prep:
Students in grades 8-12 will have the opportunity to be given specific guidance and strategies for mastering the ACT assessment subtests.  This session is professionally conducted by Class 101(Pre-Registration is Required)

General Teen Sessions:
Logic Games Session: The ability to think logically is a critical component of adulthood. Competence in thoughtful reasoning can be taught and practiced.  In this session, students will hone their critical thinking skills as they participate in fun and diversified activities.  This morning session is for students ages 12-17.

Building Executive Function Skills Interactive Session: Students will practice “executive function” skills as they work together to solve problems in an adventure-based simulation.  The simulation, “Homeward Bound: Picnic Panic” will focus on puzzle, performance, decision-making, building, and math challenges for each group to get from “picnic to home.”  This afternoon session is for students ages 12-17.

(Pre-Registration is Required)

This day-long event will be followed by a free College and Career Fair in the afternoon. In this relaxed setting parents and students will have the opportunity to interact with representatives who can answer questions and provide guidance for this “next step” in the educational journey.
